On Sunday, Mar. 29, 2026: I was elected Firm Director of Eagle Communications; American University’s student-run public relations firm, in conjunction with the Public Relations Student Society of America, and will be serving with the latter’s Executive Board.
As I slowly situate into my new role and begin preparations for the new year, I have been asked if I have any major plans for the firm, and/or what will be happening with new leadership.
To that: I have the following “statement that I will be sharing:
Okay, it isn’t really this. But there is a clear message in this quasi-bizarre video: don’t trust everything that people will say. People, especially college students, love to gossip; and are eager to spread information that might not necessarily be true that may be defaming to an individual or organization.
Now I would be remiss if I said I have no plans; I do. I have been spending the better part of the week outside of schoolwork slowly conceptualizing and drafting a framework that will define the organization built on top of past leadership. However, I don’t want to give empty promises or say something that won’t actually happen. When there is information ready to distribute, I will share it via the appropriate channels.
But when I can say, is that the agency will continue to soar. While we are still processing applications for next year, I can say that we will continue to prosper, and I look forward to fully taking the reins and ushering us forward.
In other news, I have resumed development of “Curious Big Valley”, my WordPress block theme that I’m creating with the Create Block Theme plugin. It’s nowhere close to done, really. But it may never be. But hey, it’s a personal pet project that enhances my technical skills, so I can’t really complain.
