It has been very well established that I started playing Red Dead Redemption 2 last year. One thing that I noticed while playing the game is the build number that shows the iteration of the game as-is to the player. (As of May 4, 2026: that number is 1491.50).
So I started thinking to myself: is there a way I can track how many revisions/edits I make to the site as a whole, and showcase it to the general public?
90 minutes of vibe-coding later, and I deployed an internal plugin that displays the build number of the website, or in other terms, how many times have I clicked the “Save’ button and pushed the website to production.
For this blog site, as of May 4, we are at Build 0312, and for the portfolio, 0461. The scary thing is that I expected the portfolio number to be higher and blog to be lower…
Regardless, we use this as a valuable life lesson that will be used in the future and beyond.
